The snafu for a bright right now is odd mixing your neutrals with it – this slouchy Diesel bag keeps the outfit relaxed, and the tan boots add some 70’s hiphisti-chic.  The earrings are optional and add lightness and femininity (you could also add pearls or nothing at all if you want a tougher more minimal look),

The boots would also look great with a vintage flutter sleeve dress –

This vintage frock packs a totally new wallop with a modern slouchy bag – Why?  Because what we would expect to see this dress with is a ladylike bag - here the boots pay homage to the vintage palette and the bag brings modern meaning to it all;  i.e., the boots relate the frock to the past, and the bag relates it to the future.  Try that with some stuff in your closet -

BTW - This dress is on Etsy for only $40

1 vintage piece + 1 modern piece in a vintage style that relates by color  + 1 completely modern anti-piece

and see if it doesn’t = fabulous

I’ll bet it does -

lets do it again -
