I am loving this colorful tote from The Animal Rescue Site. The Animal Rescue Site states, "These bags are handcrafted in Bamiyan by the Hazara people - the most discriminated against ethnic group in Afghanistan. Started only a few years ago in Afghan refugee camps the Children and Women Education Fund's purpose is to provide instruction on women and children's rights. Part of this instruction includes vocational skills such as sewing and embroidery along with standard academic subjects."
I think that is such a good cause. In addition, for every bag purchased 28 bowls of food will be donated to animals in shelters.
Bags are 100% cotton and handmade and fairly traded in Afghanistan.
